Pax Jolie-Pitt Surfaces After Cycling Accident

Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, son of renowned actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, made a notable public appearance at the Sundance Film Festival, marking a rare solo outing nearly two years after a serious cycling accident. The 22-year-old was present for a screening of the short film "Self Custody," a thriller directed by Fernando Ferro and Garrett Patten.
The incident that led to his hospitalization occurred in July 2024 when Jolie-Pitt reportedly crashed his electric bicycle into a stationary vehicle in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood. Eyewitnesses suggested he was not wearing a helmet at the time and sustained hip pain, with indications of a possible head injury.
At the Sundance event, Jolie-Pitt was photographed with the film's directors, Ferro and Patten. He sported a casual yet stylish ensemble featuring a red and blue flannel shirt layered over a black t-shirt, complemented by a silver pendant necklace.
Following his accident, Jolie-Pitt had previously accompanied his mother, Angelina Jolie, on the press circuit for her films "Without Blood" and "Maria." Notably, he and Jolie appeared at the world premiere of "Without Blood" at the Toronto International Film Festival, both dressed in matching black formal attire. He also attended a screening of "Maria" in New York alongside his siblings Zahara and Maddox.
Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt was adopted by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in March 2007. The adoption process began when Jolie visited an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in November 2006. Initially, Jolie applied for adoption as a single parent due to Vietnamese regulations, with Pitt later also adopting him.
Jolie-Pitt also demonstrates an interest in the filmmaking industry, having served as a production assistant on his mother's 2024 film "Maria." It appears he gravitates towards the technical aspects of filmmaking, preferring to work behind the scenes rather than in front of the camera.
Angelina Jolie has previously spoken about her children's aversion to the spotlight, noting their healthy detachment from the "celebrity part of it." She described their perspective as a sensible reaction to a non-traditional upbringing, recognizing the unique nature of their family life.
